wishlist
It is 100% true that gifts are never required or expected, but I do appreciate them. Thank you for thinking of me. I know it’s hard shopping for other people, so here are a ton of ideas in case you need them.
Refreshments
If you’d like to bring something to our meeting, anything sparkling is my favourite—be it seltzer water, Champagne, Prosecco or Cava. I tend to prefer drier styles (brut or extra brut). For white wine, I enjoy crisp, dry Rieslings. For red, if we’re eating something I am a bit more adventurous, but for casual sipping, I prefer fruitier, less tannic wines—Pinot Noir, Grenache, or Beaujolais are fantastic choices. I also enjoy Coke Zero.
My liquor of choice is gin (Empress and Hendrick’s are my go-tos, but I believe many are made equal) and I have a soft spot for classic cocktails.
For snacks, fresh fruit is great, as is chocolate or a macaron.
For restaurants, I have no allergies or dietary restrictions. I adore seafood, particularly oysters and sashimi, and I do eat everything (aside from offal). While I enjoy an expansive range of foods, my current loves are Japanese, Vietnamese and French.

I actually really need a carry-on suitcase
I will again stress that it is not necessary to bring anything but yourself, but I know some people take a particular joy in gift-giving, so I like to help. :)
